R&D ENGINEER/SCIENTIST
COMPUTATIONAL MODELING
HEAT TRANSFER/FLUIDS/PROCESS SYSTEMS
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop state-of-the-art analytical and computational models of magnetic refrigeration systems
  • Support device and product development by application of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamic fundamentals to systems and components
 
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years experience, inclusive of graduate school, in developing custom computational and analytical tools to solve Partial Differential Equations for design, analysis, and optimization of heat transfer or fluid flow applications  
  • Experience in developing custom computational tools for thermal/fluid/process systems simulation and optimization
  • Experience developing custom computational tools using Finite Element Methods 
  • Strong programming skills in a high-level language suitable for numerical computation (C++, Fortran95, MATLAB)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the application of thermodynamic and transport phenomena fundamentals
  • Experience in correlating models with experimental results
  • Experience with commercial FEA/CFD packages (e.g., ANSYS) preferred
  • Excellent communication, analytical, organizational  and PC skills
  • MS/PhD Engineering or Physics
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required
